Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for our teams are tailored to meet the specific needs of each contract. We collaborate with the department’s contract managers to ensure a smooth transition of security staff.

The following essential criteria apply to all positions:

  • Personnel must demonstrate competency, relevant experience, and appropriate accreditation for site-specific roles.
  • Understanding of the site location and industry environment is required.
  • Clear spoken English, along with strong literacy and numeracy skills, is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Screening Staff

AMG Security aims to be an employer of choice, and our comprehensive policies and procedures reflect our commitment to our team. We ensure that all employees appointed to security duties for the Victorian Government possess a variety of essential abilities and characteristics, including:

  • Well-presented in terms of grooming, cleanliness, and overall appearance
  • Able to communicate clearly in English, with additional language skills being an advantage
  • Physically fit to meet the demands of the role
  • Capable of understanding all training materials and written instructions
  • Customer-focused with a continuous desire for improvement
  • Holder of a current Victorian security license
  • Computer literate, if the role requires
  • Mature, with strong life skills and a common-sense approach to any situation

Additionally, all staff will undergo thorough medical assessments and background checks before deployment.
