Limitations of Liability & Your Consumer Rights

AMG Security regards its duties seriously, and that is why we have public liability insurance. We are not responsible for indirect, consequential, and economic damages, such as loss of revenue or interruption of business, except when such responsibility cannot be excluded according to the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

AMG Security regards its duties seriously, and that is why we have public liability insurance. Any term is meant to limit or exclude clients’ rights under ACL. In case there was a breach of warranty that constituted a minor failure, then AMG Security will be at liberty to rectify the issue by supplying the relevant service again. In case of major failure, ACL provides other rights to the client. AMG Security cannot be held liable for any loss resulting from circumstances that are beyond our control.

Contract Length, Cancellation & Termination

Service contracts with AMG Security have lengths as per individual agreements. With ongoing contracts, both parties have the option to terminate them through a 30-day written notice. This is unless there is an earlier agreed period between us in advance. In case of one-off services and event security, a cancellation fee will apply if cancellations are made less than 48 hours before the agreed-upon starting time. The fees compensate for our mobilisation and staffing costs, which are incurred before the event.

AMG Security has the right to terminate a service contract immediately where a client

• Poses risks to our employees
• Misses payments after warning
• Provides misleading or incorrect information

• Acts unlawfully or violates the contract terms

In all these instances, fees for services provided will be due. We understand changes happen, but we will work with you to solve all concerns. Our priority has always been the safety and security of our staff. Please contact our operations team first in case of any disagreements in this matter.
